Membership

You don’t have to be a Veteran to support a Veteran. Any Canadian or citizen of an Allied nation 18 years of age or older is welcome to join and help us help Canada’s Veterans. 

We welcome new members without military history who would like to support Canada’s Veterans. Legion members, whether they have served or not, help Veterans and their families, promote Remembrance, support Legion programs, and volunteer their time to provide essential services within the community 

 Kingsway Legion charges a fee of $75.00 annually.  Your membership expires on December 31  

Your membership is accepted at any Legion. 

Kingsway Legion has a fully licensed lounge and restaurant, where members can enjoy a wide variety of social events such as dances, entertainment and special events.

Kingsway Legion has sporting events such as darts, cribbage, shuffleboard, euchre, canasta, and pool, with competitions ranging from district, AB/NWT Command to Dominion level.

You will have the opportunity to grow within this great organization. Kingsway Legion needs members who can take on the leadership challenge. As an organization of volunteers, we are always looking for others to help fill volunteer positions within the branch. Any level of time commitment is appreciated; whether it's just for single special events or on an ongoing basis. There is always room for more volunteers.

You can serve your community by assisting with the many of Kingsway Legion programs in support of youth, seniors, the disabled and others.  We are a major supporter of sea, army and air cadets.  The Legion also provides bursaries to students attending post secondary school education.

Your membership includes a paid subscription to the Legion Magazine.  Published six times a year, it contains articles on various topics including history, current events and general interest stories, and keeps members up-to-date on the many and varied Legion activities. It also contains a section dedicated to the recognition of those who served their country.
